Congratulations to ALL OUR WILDCAT WRESTLERS who took the ultimate challange and entered, by far, the toughest tournament of the season, the Nassau County Youth Championships this past Sunday.

The Wildcats had their best ever performance at this year's event, posting a 14-13 (.519) overall record. The coaches are EXTREMELY proud of the effort the kids made and the results acheived. Anytime a team posts a .500 or better record at a championship level tournament, they've had a great day! Wildcats entered 9 wrestlers and 6 earned "All-County" honors, with 8th grader, PAUL REO, being crowned Champion!

1st & 2nd Grade Division - Joseph Contrastano (3rd place)

3rd & 4th Grade Division - Shawn Mosca (2nd place) & Max Mosca (4th place)

7th & 8th Grade Division - Paul Reo (Champ), Nick Loiacono (2nd place), Sean Richards (5th place).

1st year grappler, Andrew Khafif, showed no fear and entered the tournament. Coach Selby reports that he wrestled extremely well and gained great experience for next year's campaign. "Iron" Mike Loiacono, won two of four matches, and finished one win shy of placing in a huge weight class. 7th grader, Harry Leeser, won one of two matches, before having to withdraw due to injury.
